You have no power adding mods to speak of. I chip and a tune are a waste of your money at this point.

Don't tune it, you don't need it. When you get H/C/I or a power adder like turbo or s/c then you can start thinking about a tune. Otherwise if you tune it now you are gonna waste the money you spent to have it tuned if you ever decided to add something later on down the road. If you want to have the ability to tune it yourself look into a megasquirt system. It's cheap and effective.

I had my car tuned, and it ran great for the first couple months I was driving it, and I started noticing I was finding more and more driveability problems which I thought they fixed... All they basically did, from what I can tell, wasrichen my A/F ratio and dumped my timing way down low. For the money that I spent on the chip and tune I'm very unhappy, I could have bought a megasquirt and added a wideband 02 sensor and done it myself and known what actually was changed. Also with megasquirt it uses a MAP sensor instead of MAF, so you don't have to buy the $210 76mm C&L setup.

Just some stuff to think about.

I wish I had someone tell me about all this before I started modding on mine. I would have gone with Megasquirt from the get go. I've spent too much money (almost $1500)aon this stupid MAF conversion/meters/tune and am not having the results that I want and shouldhave.

Don't getthe chip you don't need it yet. You can advance the timing yourself without paying for a chip. I'm assuming you are going to do one of those mail order chips? Those really aren't the way to go, every motor reacts different to mods and you aren't going to be happy with it most likely. Buy some lower gears instead, and you'll feel a whole lot faster...

Yes it's worth it if you plan on continuing the mods.
