Default question on gt40 casting #s

What is the difference between a f1ze-aa and a f3ze-aa, both are cating numbers for gt40 heads? Would one be a better performance choice over the other are they both smog legal?

Default RE: question on gt40 casting #s

the F3ZE castings are the ones that were actually used on cobras and explorers. Rumor has it that the F1ZE casting was used on old boat motors, and that they were slated for use on an earlier model of the cobra, but SVT did not produce the cobra till 93.5

as far as differences, they are the same. IDK if the F1ZE is smog legal however!
