I just cant figure out what one i am going to do being that My 88 is speed density. I might just remove all the wiring, but im torn. what to do..... what to do....

Youll never out preform an EFI, but you sure will save a few thousand over getting an entire EFI fuel system.

driveability, reliability and power = EFI

it might cost a little more, but your engine will run at its full potential. think about all the neat computer programming you can do with fuel curves and timing with the EFI and standalone. carbs cant compete with that

EFI all the way. They are superior in every way. Why do you think most people build motors with EFI these days not carbs.

unless you have a PMS/ twEEcer or plan to buy one of the two, i would go carbed but its not that much cheaper if you do it right. right beeing track legal and safe. and EFI means you can add a centrifical supercharger or turbo easily in the future. carbbed is a pain to add FI unless you go rout style and there spendy for a good one.

Anderson PMS seems to be better from everything ive read, maybe not better but easier to use and that counts for a lot.

I always get some crap from guys at work, they say throw a carb on it! But not many people around my parts have pulled it. It may take longer to save up for it, but take this adive:

Know what you want to do ultimately, and get the parts at once to the major upgrade. Don't go half-assed, you'll only end up throwing money away doing it 4 times.

I'M A CARB GUY

never had aney prolbem smoking a EFI car , lost to a lot to . I was lead to beleave that the olny reason to boar and stroke a 302 was to keep the EFI junk and after market manfolds ext. If you went to the troubble to build a 347 keep the EFI .

Also sall other post in this thred on why to keep the EFI . Now I'm a carb guy so dont pound me for this . EFI is better on the street and stop and go . better low end torque and gas millage and cold starts and ext ext . But under WOT is fuel injection system just dumping fuel like a carb

If you do go carb this link has great info to keep all your stuf not EFI still working

Right! EFI is going full (decent) rich at WOT, but that along many other things, can also be tuned
