Default 1990 GT turns over but won't start

So I was driving about a block away from my house, the V8 engine gurgling like a beast as always, but suddenly the engine cut out, and I coasted to a stop. I tried to restart but it would just turn over and over. I thought (since the fuel gas gauge is broken as well) that I was out of gas, but no, after dumping a 2 gallon can in there was still no start. So I thought "Hey, the fuel filter may be clogged", but after changing it out I saw that fuel was running freely through both ends of the line. So that leaves me with I guess the fuel pump, or no spark.

Any suggestions?

Well, you're on the right track. Have you checked for either?

Honestly I don't know whatthe fuel pump sounds like, sad to say I haven't done much work on the mechanical aspects ofmy cars, all of my problems have always been electrical. I'll have to do the spark-check tomorrow whenI can get a ride to the parts place, and unfortunately I've lost too much daylight to get anything else donetoday.

so turn the key to the on position and as soon as you do that listen for a humm around the trunk area or back seat from inside the car...it'll make a noise for a brief second or two and then shut off.....if that doesn't do it for you open the gas cap and put your ear up to it while someonr switches on the ignition switch listen for the fuel pump to power up briefly then go out

Ah, I know exactly the sound you're talking about. I'll go see if I hear anything.

it is if you get in an accident, the buttons pops as a safety feature so the fp stops working. You could have a pour ground on the fp circuit as well, if the button does not do the trick.
