okay so if you can reach up and grab the plug/ harness connector and un plug it and with a test light see if the light lights up when pulseing on the key....there are four wires and two are for the sending unit for tank gauge and the other two are for the fuel pump = power and ground....identify the power and ground circuit loop the test light in series and if it lights up when pulsing the key on then goes out after a few seconds then you know the circuit is operating correctly and then you can assume the fuel pump is bad....you'll have to drop the tank to change the pump if that's the case

The red button on the little black doohicky was popped out. I pushed it in, and gave it two trys and BOOM it started!

Of course maybe it starting was just a fluke, come to think of it, I have been having troublegetting this thing to catch in the rain.

We'll see. If I have anymore trouble I'll exorcise this thread.

But in the mean time, thank you soooooooo much.

Had this exact same problem and before I started ripping the car apart I made the wise decision to look this thread up and holy cow.......... The Stang fired right up.......... Alright I had already replaced the fuel pump and filter because of the other goodies going on but when she decided to play dead on me I was checking every possible problem and every part and every connection but came up short......... Best b day present I could ever get .......my baby coming alive again......... Thank you guys, without you my b day was going to be lame.
