Default Project 5.0

I have an 04 mach1 and i love to race it. It's stock and pretty quick. 8.45 in an 1/8th and 13.24 in a 1/4. But when stuff tears up on it, it is too expensive. I have a 98 3.8 liter mustang. I'm gonna convert it to a 302. What would i have to do to make sure the 5.0 was faster than my mach1?

Not that i'm saying NOT to change it to a 5.0, but why 5.0 instead of a 4.6 like all the other 98's had? I think it would be cooler to go 5.0 for sure, but probably not as easy. 2cents.

I would think it easyer to go to 5.0 then a 4.6 like a 94-5. Plus alot cheaper and the 5.0s like mods more then 4.6s.. JMO.

I agree with SPUDZ on this deal.
Carbed 5.0 would be the low buck to do it......

If he went with a 4.6, he'd have to change the tranny , possibly the K member(not sure on this one). I'm pretty sure the bellhousing on the 3.8 is the same as the 5.0. ANy way he goes though, he is goin to be getting into a lot of rewiring.
