RE: Having trouble starting new rebuild
IAM CURRENTLY HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE. THIS IS WHY I JUST SIGNED UP TO THE FORUM. I have a 1990 5.0 as well Mass air. A friend told me to take the spark plugs out and squirt oil into the cylinders and replace the plugs it should start. Mine cranked up right away and it ran rough he says it will built vacuum into the cylinders. Run it until the smoke clears. Mine cranked up ran rough as he said and itdid the sameas yours. Itstarted and I have not been able to start her up either ever since. I know it has to be something stupid. So I am also reading in to this forumto see if there is any help. The difference with mine is, my buddy tells me I have low compression. I am thinking of tearing it apart again...

RE: Having trouble starting new rebuild
That is what I said. My engine was running perfect before I installed New heads. All of a sudden I have 50lbsof compression. I need to to take it apart again, maybeI installed the gaskets wrong at least that's what my buddy thinks.. Just showing you what I am currently going thru as well. I wish you the best. I am very frustrated at this point. So if anyone can help you it would definately help me beforeI take it apart. It would be awesome....
