I wanna dothe Gt-40 upper and lower intake manifold.I got a 92 5.0 with bbk headers, h-pipe, flowmaster exhaust, underdrive pullies, 3:73 gears, cobra clutch, cold air intake, b-camshaft. I wanna know everyones opinionon theGt-40 intake manifold.IS THE GT-40INTAKEMANIFOLD THE BEST WAY TO GO IF YOU CAN GET AHOLD OF IT rather thanany of the other intake manifold out there????
If you are a racer and you are looking to extract every ounce of performance from every part on your engine then no the GT40 is not for you. If you like the intake and it fits your budget then buy it, will do its job well. The GT40 is one of the best looking intakes out there and Ford did a great job when they made it.

I skimmed that article and what i wasn't exactly clear about was which GT40 manifold they were using. Apparently for the top tests they used the tublar, and then tested a Explorer GT40 manifold as well (whih supposedly) produced better numbers as well. Don't some people consider the Cobra (I'll always call it the cobra)manifold a GT40 as well, since it is very similar to Explorer.

How does theCobra manifold stack up, the same as theExplorer one they tested?

I did pull out an old mustang catalog from1999 I had which was very detailed, so I kept it. GT 40 Tublar'swere going for $629.XXthen, and advertised 24 HP gain over stock. That's pretty pricey for then, especially when looking at the other parts in the catalog. Iwish I had bough all my parts in 1999 b/c the price increases really seemed to hit on some of that stuff!

I have Trickflow track heat intake it flows ok but it is still a heavy intake. Its lighter than stock I think but I would like to get an Intake to flow the same or better that is lighter. Like BBK SSI. <--
