No.

Theyres a reason that theres still an aftermarket for these engines after the production of the GT40 stuff stopped. Dont get the wrong idea, Id take a GT40 intake, but its not exactly the best out there. Look into the more popular ones, Trickflow Track/Street Heat, Edelbrock, whatelse....

Ya i was just reading up on some intake manifold tests and suprisingly the gt40 performed the best until 5500 rpm and that was even on a 347. Heres the link, http://www.tmossporting.com/tabid/3451/Default.aspx

gt40/cobra in my opinion is the best for the cash. Thats why im going for it. Trickflow and the others may be BETTER but for price to performance, go with the gt40.

Ya the first three are un ported, after that it was a ported intake. If i can find a few more like this to back it up, then i think its a prime example of people paying attention to peak numbers and not average and the area under the curve.

it also goes back to what you want to do with the car. me personally i want a peaker car since it will be more for drag. i dont want a ton of torque off the line. you dont want to be blowing the tires off.

alot of these tests are not that great cause you can look up anoth test of intakes and see dyno sheets where the gt-40 is the worst intake and gets beat buy almost everything past about 3300rpm and you can find dyno sheets that say whatever intake you like is the best. so its about personal choice and what you want out of your engine. i think the gt-40 looks good but i would prob go with a holly or spyder.
