same problem in my 89gt i changed the starter solinoid ( it smelled like it was fryed after i tryed crankin it over when the car was hot) went to autozone grabbed a duralast solinoid for 9.99 and it fixed it.

Just added headers, heads, intake, and e-cam... I have the same heat issue. My starter barely turns over when the car is hot. it really sucks. the guy who did the work gave me a 4 cylinder starter which is smaller but has the same bite. I will try it tomorrow and post back if this is the fix for me.

ANSWER!!!! This happened to me and had me changing parts like crazy!! I had checked fuel/spark so on and so forth big *** mess!
If your car turns over normal , and also once your car is warm it will turn on right away then its your DIZZY (tfi module) I swapped it with a new one and bammm one of the happiest days in my life!! Goodluck!!

ive had this problem multiple times over the years car would start fine soon as it warmed up it would not restart, in two cases it was the pip sensor and one other time it was the tfi module
