its stock suspinsion now. but i will deal with that when i put it in the shop when i'm back with my car. i'm just buying all the main engine parts now that i can get shipped to me here overseas for i won't have to worry about having the money to get them when i get back. on this build i'm taking my time and buying part by part. i still have another 1.5 years stationed here so i got some time to build money and parts still. when i do do suspension i want it built for more street use than drag since i don't go to the strip much anyway.

I can understand buying parts as the money is available to keep from having a large cash outlay at one time. I have had parts under the bed and in closet piecing together a top end kit to make my car better. I am in Iraq with a contractor and my ride is sitting in the garage like a paperweight. You may consider saving that money in a cd and earn interest on it. If any new parts come out that may be better than what they have on the market right now, it will be beneficial to you. I was going to put my car in the shop last December but since I was coming back out to the sandpit I was not going to be driving it. Plus any new part that just came out would be available at the time of the build up. I am not trying to tell you how to buyor fund your build up, just wanted to share my experience with you.

well, i have a big bore 347 and its got a novi1000 with 8# of boost, it is well over 550rwhp, you can learn from my mistakes of only doing the motor. Do the transmission and rear end first. I broke 3 t-5's and a ring & pinion gear, with my 347 and a 150 shot before i got the S/C, and the cars been down for a long time till i can finish my astroperformance t-5, and when that breaks i have a c4 to replace it.

piston selection isnt the greatest with the 0.125 overbore, and the boss blocks have a MAX overbore of 0.125, where the dart can go safely to 0.185.
if i was to do it over again, i would have went with a 9.2 deck 427.

Yep....302 Boss block can handle .125" overbore.....

Why would you want to? First, it's at it's max bore and if the combo needed a bore you'd be sleeving it. Second, the DART block comes at 4.125" bore for no additional charge, saving the boring cost of the Boss block. Finally, the DART block is just a superior block.
