Default A.O.D PROBLEM

I was coming home on the freeway the other day and got off at my exit came up to the stop sing and proceded on as normal the car did its normal 1...2...3... shift and then instead of going into O.D like allways it feels like its going into neutral I can put itback into D and it goes like hell but if I put it in O.D its like I put in neutral dose this mean that my O.D is gone or dose it need to be adjusted? oh and the car sat for about a year before I got it its a 1990 5.0 lx hatch A.O.D

the od band is toast, however your car can still run fine on 3 legs anyways, besides 4th is a waist =P

you may end up having to rebuild it ..the overdrive was a common patternfaliure on these cars expecially when driven hard

Check the TV cable bushing on the throtte body.
