Default rear end calculation

hi i havent been able to get good info from the calculators above but i have an 89 aod gt when in drive(w/od) at 2000 rpm the car is cruising at 80mph i have 255/40/17 on the back wheels anyone with info on what rear end i have would help. thanks in advance

sounds like you might have 3.08 or 2.73 ratios take a look at the tag on the pumpkin its held on by one of the bolts for the dif cover and post up what it says it will have the gear ratio on it

easiet way to tell what gear is to jack up car, put in neutral and crawl under and put mark on the driveshaft, then a mark on the tire and count how many times the driveshaft goes around to one revolution of the tire. (ex. 2 3/4 turns of drive shaft = 2.73 gears.....)

25" tire size using a different calculator
.67 transmission final gear ratio
2000 rpm
80 mph
2.73 final drive ratio

they are stock for sure
look at the door tagto seewhich set you have

"ax" code

m=2.73
z=3.08
e=3.27

all 3 were available in aod cars
