got 94 GT 5.0 trans. down shifts cruising around 65 mph but it doesn't do it all the time I just bough it last night drove it 90miles and it done fine

if it's a 94 it has a aode and I'd rin a koeo/koer test and see if there are any codes..but I CAN'T remember on these if they have the ability to set/pull trans codes...on a aode tps is going to be instumental in shift points cause if it doesn't have a kick down cable the tps can work in place of that..but don't quote me on any of that cause I'm not an aode expert on the mustang

it could be MLP sensor, thats a manual lever position sensor, that could be ur cause, they can be very intermittent and yes you can get a MLP code.
