Default Torquey Cam

What would be a great cam for torque for a 01 explorer with very minimal upgrades such as a cold air, some exhaust work, maybe some mild porting on the intakes. Its still the family suv and I just want a little more out of it. I know the basic cams for the stangs but I was just wonderin something more for the torque for pulling.

Exactly, from 97-01 had 5.0 H.O. with GT40P heads and coil packs. I am thinking of just goin ahead and using the trick flow stage 1 with a little stiffer springs and 1.6 aluminum rollers rockers on top of a little home porting, with the exhuast and a cold air intake. I just need to find the old tubular upper intake and I would have a decent little setup.

Now I am just wondering where i can get some headers for the explorer. Does anyone think a set for a stang would work correctly to clear the explorer firewall? And yes I know that the P heads require a certain header because of the spark plug setup.
Thanks everyone

Comp sells OTS Extreme Energy truck/4x4 cams, those would prolly work better for making strong torque in an SUV.

Do some searching for towing cams, I've seen some out there.
