The oooold CHP kitshad some issues....they relocated the wrist pin location to correct the geometry. I dont know when it was done....just know some adjustments were made to it.....
Are you talking about the two 347 variants?.......
3.4" stroke - 5.4" rod - 1.090" CH piston
3.4" stroke - 5.315" rod - 1.175" CH piston

And the position of the offset wrist pin in the 1.175" makes the rod act as if it was longer...
