how is the ford emblem on the front bumper on the LX models connected? going to the pick a part on saturday and I was gonna pull one off a junked 4 banger... therewere 4 or 5 there the last time I went...

is it held on by a bolt or those stupid clips?

It's held on by those crappy lil speed nuts. They are PITA to get to.

you got it!!! you have to remove the bumper cover and install and or remove from the back...on my 85 I put the emblem on before the bumper cover went on and was painted

thanks guys, hopefully I can find a junker that has the bumper already sorta ripped off or just taken off... I dunno, I have a lil list of random stupid crap I need to get the car 100%, stuff I dont want to nickle and dime... pretty much small junk like the door handle cups on the interior both of them are cracked somehow... and I am missing some screws on the arm rest, the damn thing wiggles and is loose... but its all small crap, stuff that can be pocketed...

and maybe a 5.0 explorer to yank the bracketry and topend from

just find the bumper that looks the worst and cut that section off with some snips or somthin
