Open the radiator cap and if you see a milky resiude on the cap or in the water I'd supect a blown HG.

thats pretty much the symtoms right there. we just blew our lexus's headgasket at my school. about time. everytime we went to move it even with it cold we would jump in and bounce it off the rev limiter for like 5 min straight..

Over reved, some drips under car but seems to be fine? I just don't want to tear down and fine nothing? LOL

It could have worse compression but the best wayto tell if you dont have smoke is to check your oil and see if its milky

The easiest way is to simply do a compression and leak-down test in the cylinders and do a pressure test on the cooling system. If there isa blown head gasket you will find it by one of those two means.. There are a number of symptoms only two way to really tell.

Sometimes youll be able to see a constant stream of bubbles when you pop the radiator cap. Another way to tell, a very firm upperradiator hose while the car is running.
I just went and looked at a '95 GT, took it for a spin and the thing ran like crap. Inoticed a faint smell of coolant. I popped the hood to find the upper radiator hose was balooning so bad that coolant wasdripping from the thermostat housing neck. Dudedidnt wanna budge on the price. So I told em where to go and how to get there.
