Default Breathers

Any ideas on what breathers could be oput there that will fit between my valve covers and upper intake? I've heard there are some that have an elbow and help out with clearnance issues, but wondered if anyone knew what they are and where you can find them. I have no problem with my passenger side, but the drivers side is a different story. I noticed after I beat on the car a little, I'll get some oil seapage out of the plug I but in the drivers side valve cover opening and I'm told I need a breather.

Thanks

Actually, you do need some kind of pcv system to help get rid of the crankcase pressure. Otherwise, i believe you can have blow-by, oil leaking out of seals, etc. How much room do you have? I got a Mr. Gasket chrome breather and it's only about 1.5" tall.

I was just told by the engine builder that they would help with the pressure build up in the crankcase. I know it's not leaking on the side with the breather in it, if that's any indication.

Why are they illegal in Canada?

Thanks for the input and I'll go measure my clearance now.

Any idea where I can find the 1.5" Mr GAsket breather?

I got the breather at O'Reilly's. It's very close to 1.5"-2". I just did some reading on pcv systems, and you should do a search on here. There's a lot of info. I just read that it's a better idea to run a full pcv system than to run a breather. I use a breather because my car is carbed.

I just measured my clearance and it's right about 1 1/2" at the tighest point. Can I check out O'Reilly's on-line. My other option is a baffle kit, but I'd rather not go that route, if I don't have to.

You should be able to check on-line, but going to the store would probably be better. It was just on the shelf in their little high performance section. I also just went and measured the breather...almost exactly 1.5" Pretty good guess i'd say.

I just vented mine from the oil fill tube with a filter inline going to the SC inlet elbow.
Works for me.
