Default coolant leak help

alright guys im loosing coolant again and im trying to find out from which gasket. this time its the drivers side thats leaking. im wondering if i do a compression test and everything checks out does that mean it has to be the head to intake gasket or is there something else i should look for.

best way to find the leak is go to autozone and rent a coolant system pressure tester. it pressurizes the system and will force coolant out of where its leaking. it saves a lot of head aches trying to guess and running all those other tests

Is the car smoking (white)? Or is the oil milky at all?

yes if its a head gasket you would have milky looking oil and your exhaust will be blowing lots of white smoke and smell really really bad you would def know it. as for finding out which cylender it is pull all the spark plugs and listen in each hole with a long screw driver for the air hissing out.

yes the car is pouring out white smoke out of the driverd side exhuast pipe....but wouldnt a leaking head to intake gasket produce the same results as a head gasket leak?

either way you need to start taking the engine apart to rebuild its more likely a head gasket so start with the intake if thats fine move to taking the heads off and replace those gaskets. just stop driving you can bend valves if you keep drving

yea i havent been driving it..just idleing...i took it fora short drive but nothing else. so if i do a compression test..and they all check out then it has to be the head to intake gasket right?

compression test wont tell you anything about that. you need to do a leak down test that will tell you very accurately where anything is coming from
