Default Need help, narrowed down to 2 cams

I spoke to Rick at Anderson Ford Motorsports, gave him my specs. He advised me his N-41 would fit my needs. What I need from you guys, is help in deciding between the Anderson N-41 ($299 + shipping), and this cam http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=skuwhich is what the Comp Cams Tech Dept suggested ($259 + shipping). I'll be running a carb if that makes a difference. Both of these cam suggestions were based on my current mods (TW heads, AOD with a true 3300 stall converter, 4.10 gear, 1.6 RRs, 3300lb car), I just need to know which cam you think will perform better, or if you think for the money, the Comp Cam would be a better deal. I'm willing to buy either.
Thanks

If you've narrowed it down to those two and both will fit your application, i would go with the one from summit. Comp's tech line is pretty knowledgable from my experience with them. I dont know first hand, but i've read the anderson cam's are outdated and dont perform as well some people think.

The comp doe's have a split duration unlike the f-cam and ls is 114 instead of the f cam's 115. So their is some noticable difference.

ORIGINAL: mjr46

The N-41 cam is as follows:

intake duration@ .050 = 222
exhaust duration @ .050 = 230
gross valve lift = 512/512
lobe separation = 110

And like Fastblack stated, the Comp Cam has 218/224 duration @.050 so even though the lift is the same for the int/exh, the duration has a split pattern. I don't know what this all means?. Will the N-41 out perform the Comp Cam because it has a longer duration?, and which is better, the N-41s 110 degree lobe separation or the Comps 114 degrees of lobe separation?. I'm lost.

@.050" lift numbers will not give you the whole picture. They might have the same lift..... but they are different lobe profiles. LSA is a result, not a goal for performance....... if you want the best evaluation of your setup, and the cam that will provide you with the best performance and driveability....... CI

Considering the stall, gear, and that the car is carbed id go with the anderson between the two.

First, thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, of the 3 replies to this post (all from members that I highly value their opinions), came up with 2 different choices, and one (mjr46) wanted to know the N-41 specs before he could make a determination

Fastblack says go with the Comp Cam
Joel says go with CI (I think I'll be calling Jay on Monday)
mjr46 - waiting on his thoughts after reviewing the N-41 specs

I may have to draw straws
Thanks
