Default newbie on the board...a few ???'s

So i recently bought a 1986 Mustang GT 5.0. I paid $4500 for it with supposedly 110k miles on it. The car is from florida where they have alot less rust problems than here in NH so I think I got a pretty good deal. The guy told me he had all this work done to it i.e. underdrive pulleys when the pulleys are definately stock. I guess my main question is about the rear hatch. The struts work fine and the hatch stays open but when I close the hatch you can still pull up about 1-2 inches but it appears to be locked in. Where can I find a replacement latch?

why do think the pulleys are stock ? i can't think he would lie about a $59 part thats plainly visible.

You would be surprised at some of the things I have seen sellers lie about. I saw a car that had the rear brake lines JB Welded in b/c the idiot stripped the fittings. He tried to say it was mud.

electrical tape works good for a while while i was waiting for mine to come in. got it off of 50 resto. when ever i would shift hard at the track the hatch would open. it was a quick fix for the time being. if you feel like being cheap theblack tape isnt noticable while it is open till it starts tearing after quite a few opening and closingings.
