well i got some rather disturbing news yesterday! it turns out my engine was in a boat at one point![:@]
so i had a crapload of rust and crudd in my engine and all but 1 of my cylinders were worped!
another thing i found out was that my engine is from 1968.
the tiny pins on the tips of my valves were missing!!! so i have no clue what the guy that had itbefore me was thinking! and on top of that myharmonic balencer didnt have a bearinging on it!!! so thank god i got my engine in the shop when i did andmy engine was already bored .30 over and had flattop pistons.the guy had bored it another .30 over but it wasnt enough sonow its gonna be another .60 over on top of all that!!
and ps i was wondering what will my engine be after all this boreing? its a total of.120 i was told around a 390? what you all think?

but im getting everything fixed for a whopping $1,812.11
wow thats alot for a 16 year old!![:'(]

Marine engines are balanced from the factory better, for sustained high rpm operation. Its not necessarily a bad thing that you have it.

Anything much more than .040 over is going to run HOT!!

Somebody is lying here. There isn't going to be enought meat in the block for a .120 overbore unless it's a Dart or SVO block.

I would not run .120 bore, and your CI will only be about 312 maybe, I cant say I would trust a guy that would let you shell that much in a block like that.
