87 in cali was NOT mass air... and its easy to tell... look for the mass air sensor

sd cars are faster to begin with , and i have yet to personally know anybody who had issues after modding them. mass air is very overrated, not saying not to upgrade, but it shouldn't be a priority UNTIL you MIGHT have issues...then do it.

and the older cars run better anyways, my '89 thumped all over my current '93 by quite a bit

yup, my '88 cali notch was mass air and it ran 14.28 100% bone stock, 135k miles on street tires and 2.73's

and no, '87 cali cars are not mass air, they are SD
