that happened to mine, around 3500 rpm it sputter out only when gunning it. turned out to be the cap and roter. the center piece in the cap wasnt fixed in place so it was spinning around and leaving metal flakes all in the cap, just replaced it and never happened again.

i take the dizzy out three times now i am sure is twelve degrees advance and istill doing the same crap,but the strange thing is when the engine finaly go off because the stalls i keep the car rolling at the same time turn off/on the ignition and then running ok until ihit it hard again very peculiar ah?...any idea?[&:]

you may have some things going screwy since you tore out your emissions components...another thing worth checking is your fuel pressure

adjustable fuel pressure regulator is on his way,any idea at what pressure is suposed to be set? or i have to increase gradually until i found is working good?thanks again.

Check your car at night, spray a bottle of water with a tab of salt(mist) near the coil pack and wires etc.
Verify your distributor spout connector is not missing.

35-40 psi .. do you have a fuel pressure gauge or just tester?

I kinda half-assed scanned through this post. Have you checked your cap and rotor closely. A very small hairline crack will cause your engine to do this. Make sure the rotor is in good shape. I've had the same thing happen and it was the rotor, but to me it doe's sound like it is spark related. A good test is to do what aode suggested. Not trying to insult you, but i have to ask. You are using a timing light correct?
