so im looking at this '83 5.0. one of the quater windows is broke, the guy said itd be easy to find. well its not. im looking online, ebay, craigslist, various sites; and all im getting is "87-93 mustang QUARTER GLASS WINDOWS" will those fit on an '83? because i havent came across a "'83 mustang quater glass windows". or does anyone know where to find them?

the window will fit but you'd need both sides, since the older style has that vent looking thing on the back of it, and the newer is shaded.

5.0 resto will know i'm sure...those are not ford pieces, they don't say "mustang" like real ones. but probably your only choice

if i got '87 1/4 windows would that work?
someone said sumthing about a conversion. what did they mean about that?

Give Leonard a call at Mostly Mustangs in Phoenix, AZ (602) 430-2025 I know he should have some.
As far as using the 87-93 windows yes you will need both as they replace the window and sail panel on the 79 - 86 cars. You will have an unsightly large gap, about 3/4" - 1" between the window and interior panels though as the older windows sit in more than the newer ones.
