Default goin good

i got the mustang in my sig for $3300 and i feel pretty ballin. It has been driving good but i am getting the clutch replaced soon. I was wondering a few things.

-my speedometer says 83 when i am traveling 65 and i dont know what gears those would be (i just guessed in my sig)
-would running a premium unleaded be any better for my 156,000 mile engine or should i just go with the basic unleaded gas
-my uncle said that the valve covers are different than on his old stock 90 lx, could this be a sign of an aftermarket cam or heads? or would there be a reason to just replace the valves?
-would a dyno tune help right now (and how much hp/tq) and when should i get bigger
injectors (probably #19's)?

thank you in advance for helping me out

p.s. by the way... you guys talked me into getting a mustang instead of a 300zx about 3 months ago and i am definatly happy with my decision. thanx

For the speedo, just get a speedo calibrator.

I believe regular gas is fine.

And the valve covers may just be for engine dress up and nothing more.

A dyno tune realy wouldnt benifit you. Also, you already have 19# injectors, and its not gonna be necessary to upgrade those until you start putting on more mods(heads/cam/etc..)

so if i get a cam and heads then step it up to 24#s? by the way... i still dont know if a 5.0 needs only one cam or two? but does anybody have a guess which gears would be in there for that 83 mph during an actual 65mph?
yea i know it needs a paint job and the front bumper is cracked but w/e (no dents though)

I think the GT's of that year had 2:73's in them stock not 100%. But if your going 65 and it says 83 im guessing 3:73's or 4:11's. Thats usually what people replace the stock with. Not a 100% on that either. But if you really want to find out jack your car up count the number of teeth your pinion gear has and the number of teeth your ring gear has and go on the internet and find out what it is. Im not sure of the math. Another way it to jack one tire up and count how many rotations your tire makes to your driveshaft.

The 5.0 only has one cam its not like the 96 and up stangs.....

Looks like some real potential, be glad you live somewhere where theres only sun fading and not salt rusting through your floor.

Oh also you may not have gears you could just have a fubared speed sensor/tranny gear/cable/speedo unless it is consistantly off which would lean to a set of gears.
