Lift means nothing for piston to valve clearance.
It is the period of overlap when the exhaust valve is closing and the intake valve is opening. At this point the piston is approaching and descending away from TDC.

I've thought about running that XE276HR with 1.6 rockers instead of the 1.7s... Its like a dual pattern F-cam at that point.
Oh.. And with 3.08 gears you'd be waiting forever to get into the powerband on the XE276HR. XE270HR seems like a better choice for your combo.

ok im glad you can repeat whatever joel says, but it does have a part in it, but a lot of others things do too like duration and overlap, because usually when the valve is at the lifti ts rated at its not when the piston is at tdc, that being said doesnt change the fact that that cam cant be run with stock pistons without nothcin em more if its 544 lift with 1.6's

But back to the point, it isn't .544 with 1.6 rockers.. It's .544 with 1.7 rockers...Just like it says on the cam card. It would be .512 with 1.6 rockers and about the same duration as an F cam, in a split pattern.
