Default Vac Question

Can an engine pull too much vaccum? Just wondering because I got my timing set today and as soon as I put the vac advance line on the distributer it started running ruff. Kinda like there was a nice size cam in it. I know my motor has a mild cam (don't know what) but I don't think it is that big. The timing is at 10 deg right now. I have tried anywhere between 5 and 20 it still does it. Any ideas????

Default RE: Vac Question

Ok, after a quick google I have what I hope is the answer. Ford muscle said to adjust the screw inside the vaccum canister with a 3/32 allen head to the right for popping and surges (my problem) and to the left for loss of power and knocking. I will get to try this tomorrow when the baby isn't sleeping and I can see what I am doing. I have to push my car out of the garage since my trans is ****edand it is too loud to run in the attatched garage.
