Default idle problem...tps related?

got home from work tonight and when I parked my car, it began to act weird... at first it began to have a choppy idle, the CEL flashed a few times and the car sputtered a few times like it was going to die, but came back from it, before stalling out.... I restarted it and it stayed running, only the idle hiked up to 1500rpms before I shut it off.... waited a few minutes and tried again, did the same thing....

I think my throttle positioning sensor finally went out? or could it just be a wet connection? it poured pretty bad this afternoon while I was at work and the car was outside...

also, anyone have the part# for the correct TPS sensor? I checked advance auto's website and they have two listed....

edit.... the car behaved fine from startup and the drive home on the highway, which is about 10 miles total...

Mine did that but the idel would climb all the way to 2,100RPM, it ended up being the IAC, replaced it and now my car runs fine.

Suggestion.... don't gue$$, ask the system what failures it's logging, run a DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Test

I had the autozone guy run the code for me, 3 times... it pulled up the TPS code and the EGR code, but my EGR is blocked off anyway...

hmmm, i checked everything today...and it all was ok, I unplugged the TPS and it idled a bit lower, plugged it back in ran fine..., unplugged the IAC, nothing.... the car is acting like nothing happened....

I then took it around the town for a quick spin, and it idled fine until I shut it off and put her cover back on...
