Default Too late to mod?

I have just recently bought a 1991 LX 5.0vert that has 113,000 miles. The car has had flowmaster exhaust added and cold air intake done but it's not enough power. I want to add a vortech and change the gears to 3.73'sbut I'm worried It's going to be a waiste considering the high mileage. Is it too late to do any big changes?

its never too late to mod a 5.0

worst case scenario... you get another shortblock for a few hundred bucks, and try again

113k is nothing as long as it's running well.

compression decent ? no blowby ? no idle problems ?

do it !!

i am spraying my 3rd car w/ over 100k on it, 2 were closer to 150k

My 87 reads, 110k or so but car fax is saying different....in 2005 carfax says it was titled with 180k so god knows how many miles are on it now, im sure I don't! But it runs so good it fires up faster then any car I have ever driven
