I need help with T-5 new to Stangs.
I just bought a 94 5.0 gt and the tranny is hard as hell to shift.
The tranny has to be slammed into gear in order to go in gear when stopped, but shift KINDA smooth when rolling. I can hear like some metal banging when you attempt to put it in gear. Is the a linkage that can be adjusted? How do I check the fluid level? The chick driving it said they adjusted some linkage that she had installed? I spoke with a guy and he said that if it is stil hard to get into gear with the car off it is more than likely the synchros. I tried and it goes into gear pretty easy with the engine off. Is there a master/slave cylinder? I just bought a haynes and read about the adjuster I will try that...HELP PLEASE.
This is my 1st mustang.

itsa cable not hydraulic. do you know if they replaced the adjustable quadrant with a billet aluminum one and put the fire wall adjuster in it? open the hood and look by the master cylender for a little metal ajuster with a cable sticking out the middle if you see that you have an adjuster. just give it a turn or two to the left and that will adjust your clutch. if the stock quadrant is still in there then put your foot under the clutch pedal and lift up you will feel it click then push the pedel to the floor do that a few times and you should be good

I just replaced both the quadrant and the cable with the Zoom aluminum unit. Shifts like butta. Now it makes a noise like the pressure plate splines are rubbing...is this possible? It happens when I come to a stop, clutch pedal in, in gear or not. Is this the pressure plate? The clutch grabs very nicely. Any common symptoms?
