My 94 has 160K miles. I just put on some underdrive pulleys. The water pump pulley is rubbing the the harmonic balancer. I ground the pulley down so it would clear. After about 5 mins of driveing it started rub again. Im thinking the Harmonic balancer is coming apart. What do you guys think? Anyone had this?? Thanks

thats weird.... did you put the pulley on right?

check to see if it wobbles!! never had a prob like that before..you shouldn't have to modify the pullies at all for install....so pulley rubs not the belt right??

Yeah the inside edga of the water pump pully rubs the balancer. it looks like the balancer is moving a bit.

replace balancer and retest

I had the same problem when I installed my ASP aluminum underdrives, my balancer was coming apart and wobbling into the waterpump pulley. I replaced the balancer and all was well.
