Default high 12's low 13's

im a little lost in where i want to spend money on my stang. i do want a quick powerful car but im 18 and i cant afford to spend thousands on dollars on heads and such. apparently i can run high 13's with the mods i have done to my car. so what can i do to make it run lets say high 12's low13's? basically what mods can i do to my car, staying away from H/C mods, and possibly nitrous. i know a good suspension can help so what can i do there? also my car was lowered but i think there just cut springs. i do want my car lowered howevere so what can i do there

sticky tires & and a 100-125 shot of the giggle gas, dont be afaird of the nitrous, 5.0s are strong enough for it

auto or 5spd?

without doing NOS..lighten the load, some sticky tires, an intake upgrade, underdrive pullies.....but even with all that it'll be tough...you really need an h/c/i and or NOS....

i got a 5 speed. this is what i want to do. give me some input on where i should not spend. U/D pullies, trac lok carbon fiber rebuilt kit, MGW shifter, nitto 555R 245/50/16, some performance intake manifold, MAF conversion, upper and lower control arms, some ford racing springs. mallory performance coil, electric fan. if u could get my car to run low13's that would be an improvement.

all of the mods you listed will enhance your ride to some degree or another but if you had to eliminate one for now.. a performance coil is not really needed without the ignition box to amplify the spark

what exactly does the msd ignition box do, is there any performance gain. also i think i have the stock factory coil on so i though i should do that for a tune up sort of mod

produces multipule spark and a hotter spark...for a tune up I'd do cap , rotor, wires and plugs if it hasn't been done in a while..with a fuel filter too

1.7 rr's some gt40 heads, a gt40 intake, 410 gears, advance the timing, sticky tires, subframes and that should get you a mid 13.
