long tubes on an sn95
i may be getting an sn95 soon . i have my 88 fox and was thinking if i got a 94-95 i could pull my motor out and drop it in there. i have my super comp shorties on my fox but i know they dont fit on the sn or so i hear, so i was thinking of doing long tubes on this one. my only issue with long tubes is that i hear they have some ground clearance issues. i was planning on dropping the sn about an inch and was worried about speed bumps and inclines.

I believe the only reason the headers aren't interchangable is because the 94-95s have the threaded part for the EGR. As for lowering, definitely go lower than an inch, 1.5" minimum with SN95s. Some people have ground clearance issues and some dont.

The ground clearance wont be an issue unless youre like me and didnt get new hangers when I installed the O/R H pipe, so it hung wayyyy too low and scraped on everything. Now its fine.

cool, alright i think im feeling alot better about going longtubes on the sn. i found a modular cobra i could possibly get for cheap since the owner got sick and needs money, if he doesnt take an offer then i'll try for a 94-95 so i can put my motor in it.

Yes my friends just did lower his 89 GT and it installed new long tubs on her and when you go over a bump faster than normal it hits.
Are you selling the shorties headers ? I have an LX and I want to install shorties on mine with a magnaflow 40 series, if you are selling them please let me know.
Thanks,
IBM

well, i may not be selling my fox per say, i'm looking at this one 97, i would keep the fox for racing and the sn for street and ripping corners. if you want some headers you can get some flowtechs, they're made on the same machines as hookers, the only difference is the paint and the name.
