my buddy just bought a 86 gt and the guy that he bought it from has just painted the car, hot red. during this though the guy painted the radatior where the valance opens in the front. now i know this is a dumb *** question but can we take it out and paint it silver with a stenciled black gt logo on it. or is it bad to paint the radaitor?

ive heard a few people on here have painted the radiator i couldent see why it would hurt it but what do i know.

yeah he is worried taht it will cause heating problems but were not sure

im thinking that the paint would causes the heat to not be disperted as it should since there is a coating on it that is preventing the metal as working efficently

Kid, notch is being sarcastic. Don't paint your radiator... It's a bad idea.

If anything, pull it out and carefully remove the paint that is already on it with some laquer thinner and gently blot at it with a rag. DO NOT bend the fins or be forceful.
