okay, turbomustangs.com Hopefully im not breaking any rules, but as you can see.....its a website, dedicated to turbocharging mustangs........read the turbo bible. Anyways, in case your lazy. Speed density cars work GREAT with boost(better than MAF at least). You just have to buy a MAP sensor that can read boost and vacuum. You will have to route an oil feed line to the turbo, and a return somewhere, most people punch a hole in their oil pan, which I don't like the idea of. For a turbo manifold, most people flip a normal set of shorty headers upside down, and weld a turbo flange on them. Running single/dual complicated things. Running twin turbo, makes the intake side harder, you run one turbo off each manifold, then you have to join the intakes together. The single, you have to run both the manifolds into one pipe, then run that into your turbo. Ebay does have alot of turbos and intercoolers, that website has a DIY junkyard turbo section with a list of every car that ever came factory with a turbo/intercooler. Some turbos also use engine coolant to help cool them. If you do your homework, you can basically eliminate turbolag. Ive seen built 5.0's with agood turbo setup running full boost by 1800 rpm. On a single, you have to expect a lil longer time. You will need to get a blow off valve, which vents boost after it hits a certain pressure(such as the build up when u let off the gas b/t shifts) The wastegate controls exhaust flow to the turbo, most turbos have one built in, with a spring setup, which people "customize" to allow more boost. You can get electric boost controllers, but thats more $$ A very well engineered turbo kit from some places like hpperformance can make a bone stock 5.0 see 400rwhp. Choosing turbos with the correct airflow and spool times will effect your power output. Most DIY kits run around 1000 dollars. Do a search for turbo mustangs, turbo + v8 = pure sex If you cant find the info at turbomustangs, then it prolly isnt known to man.

btw, if you go supercharged, go KB, they make more power than most other brands, you might wanna look into water/meth injection to keep combustion temps down, the s197 kits have improved HP by around 70 on boosted apps according to what I've read. Oh, also, turbos improve your engines effiency by using wasted energy(hot exhaust) to create energy(forced induction). A supercharger uses your engine power to create power. Turbo cars usually see better gas mileage and higher power rating at similiar boost levels. Just so ya know

Everyone seems to miss the part where you say "I'm going to use MS" lol.
I would go with turbo, keep off the gas and DD will work fine.
Hit up theturboforums.com theres tons of great info there.
