hey guys im doing a hci swap and i cant find a cam because im not sure what exact one to get! im gonna be using gt40 heads and intake! i wanna get the cam and lifters off ebay for like 200 or werever else i can get a good cam for that? a guy at my local msutang shop has a new cam out of a holley systemax 2 kit hell sell me for 150 is that a good deal and would it be a good cam???

With the Holley HCI setup it is supposed to be good for 350hp so it is probably a good one.
The price sounds good. If your lifters aren't bad (assuming they are hyd. roller, you can reuse them.

if your speed density then the xe 270 will be fine....just make sure you upgrade your valvetrain

with the holley cam, will i need all new valve train or just new lifters and valve springs?

Every time I read about cam swaps you need to change your springs locks and retainers. Our valvetrain stock is hardly enough for our stock cam with .444 .444 lift (i dont know the duration or other stuff..Cuz I'm still learning. Well, hope I was a little help, someone will come on and tell you exactly what you need.

Need a little more info. What are the specs on the holley cam?, is your car Manual or auto?, what gear ratio does your car have?, is the car a daily driver?
