manual steering or power steering?

manual steering or power steering?
I need to replace the rack in my 80 fox body. Right now the engine is out, and i am thinking about losing the power steering. The car will be street driven a little, but mostly to and from the track. It is getting a pretty stout 351W put in it with an auto tranny. The car wont be all that friendly on the road, and wont see more than 400~500 miles a year.
So keep the power? or ditch it in favor of the manual, for both weight savings, and HP gain.
Let me know what you guys think!

What tires? If you have skinnines in teh front its a no brainer, lose it. If wider tires, I still say ditch it becasue you dont daily drive it. usually you will only notice a difference under 10 MPH, and with a manual rack im sure you will be fine

yea i would definatly say ditch it. i had a flaming river manual rack on one of mine that was a daily driver and you couldnt even notice once you got used to it. Plus i like the feel of a manual rack better.
