Default gt40 heads

This is my first post, and I dont know much about forums so please excuse me if I've done something incorrectly already?....... I'v been looking into putting a set of explorer gt40 heads(95-97.5)I believe?, and explorer intake/throttle body on my car. From my understanding the compression ratio would drop if i were to just slap these heads on my car, correct? I know a stock 5.0 HO has 9:0:1 compression. What would these heads need to be milled to if i wanted to raise my compression to say 9:5:1and in doing so would I need shorter pushrods and/or have my valves shortened????? Next these head will more then likely be coming off a high mileage explorer, what doI absolutely have to do to these heads besides new springs and lifters to insure there performance, 3 angle valve job, new seals, ect? In regards to home porting these heads, does any one have advise besides gasket matching them and grinding on that hump in the exhaust port? Ohand final questionif I were to put 1.7 roller rockers with this setup, will my speeddensity freak out?

I have an 87 Gt 5spd, speed density still, bbk equallength headers, h-pipe/no cats and flowmaster cat back, 160* thermestate and 3:73 gears.

Any info will be much appreciated
