top dead center the hightest point the piston travels in the cylinder

take out the #1 spark plug (the closest one to the alternator on the passenger side) stick a screwdriver in and rotate the motor untill you see that screwdriver in the highest position. then put the dizzy in the #1 and if it doesnt work give it one more turn on the motor and thats it

remember always check after with a gun the timing as this is just a way to get it to start not 100% perfect
