Default My car's a POS.

lol. Now when I turn the heater on full blast, my rpms on the gauge go up like 1,000rpms and stay there, so it says it's idling at like 1700, but the engine is only at like 700. Then I was sittin there, turned the heater down a notch, the tach went to normal, then turned it back to high and then engine AND tach both went up to like 3 grand, so I turned it to off quick, then my car shut off. I started it again and it's fine but the tach still goes up like 1 grand extra when I have the heater on high.

def. sounds like an electrical problem. ive had hell with ground wires lately that have made my car act really weird. the headlights would flicker on and off and wouldnt start and crap. so id say check all your grounds. i dont know if that would cause any of the problems your having but thats about all the advice i can give you. maybe check your fuses to. sounds like your heater wires are crossed with your tach wires maybe? good luck man.

With my car, when I turn on the fog light switch, only one fog light comes on and the left turn light goes out as does the break lights. Electrical problems plague these cars... Oh and LMAO, that's a neat trick. Your heater switch is like a kill switch.

not sure what year car you have but often the defrost uses the a/c to dehumidify the heat so as to not fog up the windshield...and when the a/c is switched on ..it's usually wire to bump of the idle to compenstes for increased load by using the IAC to bump up idle

heres some more fun to add to the mix. Occasionally when I put on my turn signal, it flashes on low oil, coolant, and washer fluid. Then as of today it hasn't been idling right. It has a cam, decent lope to it, and instead of being the usual rythmic bumbling, it's been basically making big gulps, almost stalling, big gulp, almost stalling. like VROOM..... VROOM. ... VROOOM... if that made any sense at all.

THEN, I was goin down the road in like 3rd, got on it kinda hard, it got up to like 4 grand, popped and cut out for a second, then came back. wtf? lol.

Is my electrical system really pissed at me or something? lol.

I wish I could just get a new wiring harness for the entire vehicle, like every single wire in there replaced.
