Stock Head Curiosity ?

If you were to take stock heads off a stang, could you send them out and get them fit to be just like stock gt 40's? Is that a dumb ?

Nope, cause the casting is different.

If you were to upgrade your RR's, springs, pushrods, wouldnt matter?

Still be a bottle neck. It be cheaper to get a set of gt40's from a junkyard than sending out the stock heads. Otherwise you would see alot more people doing that.

Do all gt 40 heads have the 3 lines on the front of the head, or 4?

idk but all GT-40 have GT on the heads

GT-40p have GTP on the heads

GT-40 Iron heads have 3 bars and they came on the 93-95 Cobras, 351 Lightning pickups, and '96 and some early '97 Explorers/Mountaineers.

GT-40P Iron heads have 4 bars. They came on those later '97 Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineers.
