Default Replacing Steering Rack 95 Gt?

I let a buddy take my mustang for a spin. and hewhacked a curb with it. needless to say my steering rack is not oozing wonderful fluid, so its going to need to be replcad. My question is this a project i can do in my driveway? Im not a mechanic but am capable of turing a wrench, I replaced my clutch in my driveway last year so imnot affraid to tackle a job.

Any tips, how to's?links to article on a write up on replacing?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Should beable to if you changed a clutch before.
You will have to take it somewhere to get a alignment done on it after you put it on and bleed the air out of the rack.
when you take of the tierods make sure you count how many rotations it takes to remove each side and turn them back in the same amount on each side when you put them back in.

you'll need to have it aligned afterwards......but it's doable in the driveway

fill up the pump and resivorior, turn on the car so the pump runs, then add more fluid. then turn the rack lock to lock, add fluid, repeat until the fluid no longer goes down. tale for a spin around the block, and check fluid again, might have to add some more once more
