battery light=fuse?
hey guys
I was wondering. The shop i took my car to said that the reason the alternator isnt charging is becauase the battery light in the gauge cluster is blown. They said its used as a fuse.Is this true?they wanted to charge me $136 for something that will take 5 minutes.Could this busted light be a reason why the alternator isnt charging the battery?

WOW......Never heard that one lol.........that charge looks like they are charging to replace the alternator.......This a small hole in the wall garage? What year/model is it, and is the battery light on now? Also why did you take it to the shop for? I'd sugest going to a different shop is that is teh actualy info that they told you.
