value spring question

Default value spring question

today i talked to ford racing tech about changing value springs and what the air presure needs to be at
he said he doesnt use air to change value springs he uses 3/8 rope shoves it threw the spark plug hole then cracks the piston to tdc
have you guys ever herd of this kind of method

p.s. hes said air presure can push piston down, how much air is to much......

yap yap yap!!!!! I use the air methood with and adjustable regulator and set pressure so motor won't roll over and convert my compression tester to work by removing shreader valve and usually between 80 to 100 psi have been fine.. never dropped a valve...besides..put the car in gear and chock the weel..prob solved
