Default Question for the Emmissions State Mustang Guys

1.) With my minor mods, if I put new cats and smog pump, do you think that may be all I will need to pass? I will use the "sure to pass " addative. Have you guys with similar mods had any problems. Going to do the cats and see what happens, and if need be, will put on a smogger.

2.) The air tube on the cats, what is this for? This question is for my 93 LX and also my girlfriends 90 C-1500 truck, 350 cid, 2 wheel drive. I replaced the cat converter on her truck about 8 months ago (just one) and the air tube came capped off, so that's the way I left it. Did not see anything on the original that would go the tube and honestly don't recall if the stock one had an air tube.

3.) Reason for question 2 is to clarify my LX and latley on her truck when I first start it you have to play with the gas pedal or it will die. Like the choke isn't working, but the 350 is throttle body injected (carb), not sure how the choke works on these, other than computer controlled. It didn't start doing this for 3 months after I replaced the cat, and when we started getting cold weather. Could the air tube on the cat be the culprit?

Thanks all.
