Default value spring retainer Q.

i have a e303 cam my valve springs came in today and my retainers and rollor rockers and shims
my retainers two are different top side one is straight across the other is dished in witch one is intake and exstaust

o ya my stock valve springs one spring is taller than the other and my new springs they are all the same height is this ok i guess

well if you had a micrometer for checking installed height it would be easy to figure out...that's what I used on mine

The stock exhaust will have a shorter spring and a thicker retainer compaired to the stock intake spring and retainer.

^ yup, and when you go to any upgraded spring they will all be as tall as the intake spring, you need retainers (i didnt see em in the pic) and if you dont have retainers you could probably use 16 intake retainers even though thats pretty cheesy

i have retainers didnt no i had to check spring height too i figured that would be figured in with the cam or the height of the springs for that cam i mean gee the money ive spent just to put in a e303 cam should of just left stock cam in i think lol i hope the 89 mercury motor i got has the e7 heads on it[:@]
