Default Exhaust ? help

I currently have 2.5" catback, i am going to get a O/R H pipe installed. Problem is that the flanges that connect muffler to midpipe have been cut off and welded. The shop I spoke with said they can put new flow tubes w/ flanges ONLYif the current flow tubes are 2.25" and if the current flow tubes are 2.5" that I am screwed and will have to get NEW cat back.

Im just gonna have it welded to the mufflers and bolted to header end. I know it will make it a pain if I decide to changed mid pipe or mufflers. I decided this is the last thing Im gonna do to this stang. I would rather put money towards another mustang and have two.

It wasn't that I didn't want to spend 25 dollars on the 2.5" flow tubes. Well, I called AMP in Phoenix, and he said that if my current flow tubescoming from mufflers were 2.5" that I would have to get New Cat Back...such BS. So, I decided to just go back where I got my cat back done at a local Exhaust Shop. I asked about the flow tubes and he said he would just weld it in. Im not sure if this shop would even be capable of welding in flow tubes or they just don't want to hassle with it.
