im looking for a 302 short block to start a 306 buildup. i think im gonna try to find a 302 engine and work off that. besides the 89-92 mustang, wut other cars could i get a roller block out of? i think explorers have roller blocks but im not sure which years.

All '86+ blocks are "roller ready"....... just look at the casting number by the area of the starter, and if it starts with E5, E6, E7, Fx..... are all roller ready blocks. All Explorer/Mountaineer 5.0L blocks are roller.

87-up Mark VII Lincolns are also roller cam HO engines.
85 1/2to 95Mustangs are roller as well.
87-92 have Forged pistons. 93-up are hyper.

the grand marquis are roller blocks and some f 150 's are roller blocks..got one from a 92 last week

i've got a 86 short block and one head thats complete and the other head is missing 2 valve springs... i got intake and everthing else for it just no electronics...... jbehuniak@yahoo.com dont ask y its missing 2 valves.... the crank might be able to be buffed out but block is solid
